Grand Theft Auto 6 is one of the most highly anticipated games in recent years. With the title surrounded by rumors and ‘leaks,’ we’re always excited for official announcements.
If you had doubts about the release year, worry no more. Yesterday, Take-Two Interactive (a video game holding company that owns Rockstar Games, 2K, and Zynga), in their third-quarter fiscal report for 2025, made a clear and straightforward announcement confirming that GTA 6 will be released this fall.
But that’s not all. 2025 is shaping up to be an exciting year for Take-Two Interactive. As stated by the management team: “… we plan to launch Sid Meier’s Civilization VII on February 11th, Mafia: The Old Country in the summer, Grand Theft Auto VI in the fall, and Borderlands 4.”
So yes, in addition to GTA 6, fans can look forward to the new Mafia game and Borderlands 4 this year.
Upcoming releases for 2025 include:
- Mafia: The Old Country – summer 2025
- Grand Theft Auto VI – fall 2025
- Borderlands 4 – 2025
